Dr. Michael Buck
Dr. H. Michael Buck is Professor of English at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, teaching general education and upper-division British literature classes, including Shakespeare, Romantic Literature, Victorian Literature, Twentieth-Century British Literature, and, his specialty, advanced study in Sir Walter Scott.
Outside the classroom, Dr. Buck has allowed his love of British literature and history to take him overseas, leading, since 1997, student literary classes during May to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy.
Dr. Buck’s professional activities include paper presentations at the last five International Conferences on Walter Scott and—as a result of his discovering new letters by and to Sir Walter Scott at Scott’s home, Abbotsford in 2009--recent publications in The Journal of the Edinburgh Bibliographic Society and Architectural Heritage of Scotland. Dr. Buck enjoys, jogging, lifting weights, scuba diving, and cooking and eating Italian food.
